Career: 

1800 – begins exhibiting regularly at Paris Salon

1802 –Valentina of Milan Weeping over the Death of her Husband (untraced)  exhibited at Salon, initiating Troubadour style

1808 – returns to Lyon

1815 – appointed chevalier of the Légion d’honneur

1818 – begins teaching at École des Beaux-Arts, Lyon
