Obelisk. Brought from Alexandria, Egypt by Emperor Caligula in the 1st century. Erected in St Peter's Square by Sixtus V in 1586

Pantheon. Built by Emperor Hadrian (2nd century). It is on the opposite site of the Arno River from St Peters and the obelisk.

Colosseum, Rome. Constructed during the 1st century, primarily for gladiatorial combat. Seating capacity: 50,000.
